In Gen.Three we have chosen six very different interiors each with one thing in common: The interesting and the inspiring is driven by contrasts. Contrasts between styles, periods, geography and expressions.
They use light and dark, cacophonic still lifes of mismatched elements, where only the colour tones and the tension between shapes, surfaces and structures brings harmony to the whole. We meet the contrast between the architect’s straight lines and preference for simplicity and the artist’s organic art that finds it difficult to stay inside of the frame. You can also experience a masculine response to the vintage style, which is so often dominated by a feminine perspective. Here the masculine elements and colours are emphasized in an uncomplicated simplicity, which makes the expression precise and personal. At the painter modern art is created from the Hollywood icons of the 50’s, who now appear in the company of classic furniture choices from the very same era. All of this is placed in surroundings with a gallery-like simplicity with spots of paint on the floor and is softened by fur and woollen blankets.
